Solution
New Tides will bring the reality of sea level rise to our digital world, making it impossible to ignore.
Coastal cities such as LA, Miami and NYC attract both influencers and public figures. However, these instagram worthy cities all have something else in common, they are at high risk for rising sea levels.
EDF has partnered with Instagram to raise awareness for climate change by bringing the reality of sea level rise to your feed.
On Earth Day, we will take over location tagging abilities on Instagram. Any location forecasted to be underwater by 2100 will only be taggable as the ocean.
Stabilizing THE climate for a less amphibious future
Instagram maps will also be updated to replicate the shorelines of 2100.
Additionally, we created DOOHs that overlook famous tourist destinations, which are also estimated to be underwater In the near future.
